Tracking involves the further development of a dog’s natural abilities and instincts. The dog must use his nose to locate a track laid by either his handler or a stranger depending on the level to be achieved. The dog must also indicate various types of articles (leather, wood, material) dropped along the track by the tracklayer. The track length, age of the track and the number of articles depends on the IPO level to be obtained.
